Nina Ivanović (1986)
Nina Ivanović was born in 1986, in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 2010, Department of Painting. Since 2006 she has been an active participant in international workshops, such as Real Presence (2006 – 2010, Belgrade) and in group and solo shows; some of them are: Shared Meanings in Gallery Škuc, Ljubljana, 2019; 1918. When peace erupts, curated by Dimitri Ozerkov, Vittorio Veneto, Italy, 2018; 57th October Salon – The Marvelous Cacophony, curated by Gunar B. Kvaran and Danielle Kvaran, Belgrade, 2018; Consequences in the Art Pavilion Kaskadenkondensator in Basel, 2017; Naravno da te još uvek volim (Of course I still love you), Gallery Navigator, curated by Mia David, Belgrade, 2016; Crteži od žice (Wire Drawings), Gallery Haos, Belgrade 2015/2016 and Elementi stvarnosti (Elements of Reality), Art space U10, Belgrade, 2012. She has received two awards for drawing – in 2009 the Faculty of Fine Arts award for drawing, in 2014, the first award from the Vladimir Veličković Fund, and in 2018 she was awarded at the October Salon. In 2013/2014 she spent three months as artist-in-residence in Glo’Art Centre in Belgium and in 2017 she spent one month in Basel, Switzerland as artist-in-residence at Kuckucksnest.
Together with six colleagues she founded the Art Collective U10 and since 2012 she has been the manager of Art space U10 dedicated primarily to contemporary art produced by young artists. She lives and works in Belgrade.
