He graduated Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1988, in the class of Prof. Milica Stevanović, and did his M.A. at the same institution in 1991.
He had his first group exhibition in 1987 at Belgrade October Salon in the Art Pavilion Cvijeta Zuzorić. That same year he organised a solo show in the Gallery of the Students’ Cultural Centre in Belgrade. Marković participated in exhibitions mounted in the Museum of Contemporary Art: “About Normality”, 2005, and “City: the Place of Identity”, 2023. He organised solo exhibitions in several places in Serbia and took part in many group shows.
Marković received an award from the “Miloš Bajić Fund” (Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts) in 1988; the first award for painting at the visual arts event “Prolećni anale “ (Spring Annal) in Čačak, in 2010 and the award “Zlatna paleta” (Golden Palette) at the spring exhibition of the Association of Serbian Artists, in 2010.
Marković’s works can be seen in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, Zepter Museum in Belgrade and in private collections.
