Last year, a major jubilee was celebrated – the centenary of the birth of the painter and academician Milorad Bata Mihailović (1923-2011). On this occasion, Gallery RIMA, in collaboration with the Gallery SASA, organized an exhibition that highlighted the segment of Mihailović’s work most significant for the formation of his authentic artistic expression and style, which also earned him the greatest international recognition. This year, at the invitation of the Gallery of Contemporary Arts Niš and in collaboration with them, Gallery RIMA is organizing an exhibition featuring some of the most important works from Mihailović’s first Parisian decade, including newly discovered pieces, presented to the domestic public in Niš for the first time.
