Brussels, Belgium
In the 42nd editions of the international Contemporary Art Fair ART BRUSSELS 2026 Gallery RIMA presented works by two late artists Radovan Kraguly (1936-2022) and Djoka Ivačković (1930-2012). Participating in the section “68 Forward“, curated by Louis-Philippe Van Eeckhoutte, Gallery RIMA created a space of communication between two different artistic approaches, temperaments and poetics – manifested in the realm of abstract art. Although, both artists lived and exhibited in West Europe, particularly France and Belgium, the exhibition presentation of Gallery RIMA for Art Brussels 2026 was the first time to present their art side by side, offering the international public a chance to, by absorbing the ideas behind their works – especially those from the same decades of 1980s and 1990s – experience the most diverse ways of creating in the language of abstraction.
